About Folsom Studio

Folsom Studio is a ceramics studio, workshop space, and creative hub located in a renovated 1920s manufacturing building in Botanical Heights, St. Louis. It’s a space full of history, quirks, and industrial character. Folsom serves as the production home for Place Value Pottery, Boda Clay, and Hindsight Studio.

The studio also hosts workshops, multi-week classes, private events, and community gatherings designed to make ceramics approachable, engaging, and creatively fulfilling. Some experiences are skill-building and technique-focused. Others are playful, social, and designed simply for the joy of making something by hand. Whether you're joining us for a six-week class, booking a private event, or attending a one-night workshop, our goal is to create experiences that balance craft education with curiosity, fun, and genuine connection.

For artists looking for ongoing access, Folsom offers a small, intentionally curated membership program designed for independent makers who value both autonomy and community. Members gain access to a well-equipped studio while becoming part of a creative ecosystem built on shared knowledge, mutual respect, and thoughtful collaboration.

We share the building with Arbolope Studio, a landscape architecture firm run by longtime friends and collaborators, a relationship that continues to shape how we think about the ways environments can foster connection. With future renovations, a developing courtyard, and new partnerships on the horizon, Folsom Studio continues to evolve as a place where production, education, and community life intersect.
