Decorated Dishes: Slip Transfer Technique - Saturday 6/28

$90.00

Saturday, June 28th, 12pm – 3pm

Instructor: Malaika Tolford

In this 3-hour workshop, you’ll learn how to use slip transfer techniques to decorate and form several dishes.

You’ll start by experimenting with image-making—sketching your designs and layering them with colored slip and underglazes onto newsprint. Once your designs are complete, you’ll press the newsprint onto red earthenware slabs, then peel it back to reveal your transferred design. Afterward, you’ll form your slabs into 1–3 unique dishes.

Don’t be intimidated! Though this process may seem complex, this workshop is designed for beginners as well as those who have some previous experience.

Your project will be clear glazed and fired, and you’ll be notified when it’s ready for pick up within 2–3 weeks.

Price includes all materials, glaze, and firing costs.

Workshops are nonrefundable. Please review our cancellation policies on our FAQ page.
